Scooter and Canoe Ride | Active Day in Bohemian Paradise

„Everything was great.“

„Every year we raft down the Jizera River. Last year Jesus gave us a combination of canoe and scooter - why not, will there be a change??!!! First we were picked up in Dolánky and taken to Kopanina. We were 2 adults and 2 kids, so I was a bit worried about how the boys would handle the ride. But my fears were completely unnecessary. The scooters are sturdy, we also got helmets, so in terms of safety we were also satisfied. Unbelievable enthusiasm of the kids on the scooters, enjoyable ride basically effortless, beautiful views, just great fun, what more could you ask for. We made it to Malá skala to the Yellow Swimming Pool, where we returned the scooters (there are two hours to ride down, so feel free to have a nice look around and explore the area). Here we freshened up, had lunch and were looking forward to the next part. It was offered to us that we could rent two canoes, but since I don't know this "machine" at all, we chose one canoe with an "extra bed". They just put another seat in the canoe for us. We put our stuff in the borrowed barrel, the boys got their vests and each of us got a paddle - we were ready to go. My older son didn't want to go down the weir, so we went down a little ways along the water where the rest of our party picked us up. The higher water made the descent a total breeze. We also stopped at the Mirror Goat for ice cream. For us, it was a beautiful and really successful experience. The only two negatives we found about the experience were that there was an internet outage when renting the scooters, the rental took a while - but the staff handled it with bravado (even though they renamed us at that =o)) and the other thing was the incredible amount of paddlers on the date (it was beautiful weather and after the rains = lots of water in the river), but nothing we could do about that. We would recommend the experience with a clear conscience, we really enjoyed it as a family! Lu“
