Tetín, inhabited by the famous daughter of the ruler Krok, Teta, or Blaník, the legendary mountain that guards the sleeping protector of Bohemia, or from later history the castle of Karlštejn, founded by the "father of the fatherland" Charles IV. Of the more recent sights, we can find here especially the Škoda Museum, which will delight especially technical enthusiasts, as well as the Military Technical Museum Lešany.
Gourmet tourism will certainly not be lost in this region. In Velké Popovice, the brewery organises Klobáskofest, in Karlštejn there are wine tastings and in every larger town and village there are popular Christmas fairs. Nature lovers will be interested in the "Bohemian Grand Canyon" called Great America. It is a flooded quarry that is reminiscent of the Wild West.
