You may have heard someone say that they want a "čochtan", "mlíko", "šnyt" or "na hladinku" in a Czech pub, but what does that mean? How do you tell if a beer is of high-quality? And how do you know what kind of care it deserves? If you're looking for the perfect gift for a curious gourmet, then you've found it. In the 180 minutes, he will get an insight not only into beer jargon, but also into brewing history and practice. This beer experience starts with a tour of the Velké Popovice brewery, where he'll learn interesting facts about the history as well as the present day. How was beer made in the past and what changes did brewing go through before it got to its current form? Let him have a peek at the work of experienced brewers up close.
Once he's had his fill of theory, he'll get behind the tap in the historic brewhouse and show off his skills. Has he always stood on the customer's side of the tap? No problem—he'll be taught how to draft beer by experienced brewing experts. He will get feedback on his work during the tasting, which he may also look forward to.
If you choose the Kozlova výprava do pivovaru (Kozel's Brewery Expedition) variant, you will also have the option of having a three-hour reservation at the brewery restaurant, which includes unlimited tank beer and a large serving of meat.

Why choose this experience
Before you learn how to draft "na hladinku", you will have a guided tour of the Velké Popovice brewery. You will peek into its rooms and areas, both historical and modern. You'll learn what ingredients are needed to brew beer and how the whole process looks like. After finishing the theoretical part of the experience, you will be treated to the actual beer tapping school where brewery experts will take you under their wing. They will explain how to differentiate between beer of high quality and low quality, and what kind of care beer deserves. Finally, you'll get behind the tap to learn how to draft beer like a pro. Naturally, it won't be only work, as you'll also have a chance to refresh with two types of chilled Kozel beer, and like in any good school, you'll receive a certificate of completion—Kozel's Certificate of Craft.
The experience is intended for all gourmets over the age of 18.
