Craftiry: Top-Fermented IPA Beer Making Kit

The IPA beer style first appeared in the 19th century in England. The beer was created to withstand a six-month voyage on a ship from England to India. And it did, thanks to its higher alcohol content and higher bitterness level. That's because hops, which add the typical bitterness, serve as a preservative.

Duration:

The preparation will take approximately 30 minutes. The brewing itself takes approximately 4.5 hours. After the brewing, the beer must be fermented for 6-10 days, and after bottling, it must rest in the fridge for another 10 days.

• Cork stopper
• Wax
• 1 kg of malt
• 20 g of hops
• Ale yeasts
• Dextrose

• Filter cloth
• Thermometer

• Pot
• Water – 5.5l
• A container for fermentation (a demijohn or anything that can be closed with a fermentation airlock applied)
• Bottles for bottling and to finish the process of fermentation (Bernard beer bottles are suitable)
