FAQ
How long does the hot-air balloon flight last?
The flight itself lasts approximately 45 to 70 minutes, depending on weather conditions and landing options. The full experience, including preparation, the safety briefing and other activities, takes around 3 hours.
What is the difference between a shared and a private hot-air balloon flight?
On a shared flight, you’ll fly in a larger balloon with other passengers. The basket holds 16 to 24 people. A private flight is exclusively for the two of you and the pilot, so you can enjoy a romantic atmosphere and complete privacy.
Where does the balloon take off from?
The balloon takes off directly from the grounds of BalonCentrum Břestek, where you’ll be staying, so there is no need to travel anywhere. After landing, the support vehicle will take you back to the launch site.
What happens if the weather is unsuitable for flying during our stay?
Ideally, plan your flight for the evening of your arrival day. If the weather is unsuitable, an alternative slot can be arranged for the following morning or evening. If the flight cannot take place during your stay, your tickets will not expire. They can then be used for a shared hot-air balloon flight from one of the provider’s standard launch locations.
What does accommodation at BalonCentrum Břestek include?
You’ll stay in a Standard double room with a double bed, private shower and toilet, air conditioning, LCD TV and Wi-Fi. Your stay also includes generous breakfasts and a bottle of champagne on arrival.
When can we check in and check out of the guesthouse?
Standard check-in is from 14:30 and check-out is by 10:00. Earlier check-in or later check-out may be arranged in advance, subject to availability at the guesthouse.
How far in advance do we need to book the stay?
The stay can be booked on weekdays and weekends, subject to accommodation availability and balloon capacity. For weekend dates, the provider recommends booking approximately 3 to 4 weeks in advance.
Is the hot-air balloon flight safe, and is insurance included?
The experience includes a pre-flight safety briefing and all necessary insurance. Flights only take place in suitable weather conditions.
What happens after the balloon lands?
After landing, you’ll take part in a traditional ballooning christening with champagne and receive a commemorative balloonist’s certificate. The support vehicle will then take you back to BalonCentrum Břestek.
