Don't have your favourite mug yet? Come and make one with your own hands at the handmade ceramics course. While you're at it, make a matching plate to go with it. In the ceramics workshop you can do it in 3 hours under the guidance of experienced teachers. Even without previous experience.

At the beginning of the creative workshop you will choose the shape of the mug and plate, then you will pick up the ceramic clay and start creating. If you don't dare to design your own, you can use the ready-made templates - and if you feel like experimenting, you can let your imagination run wild. Finally, you can carve a name, initials or symbol that has personal meaning to you into the still damp clay and make sure that this piece is as personal as possible.

The three-hour workshop of handmade ceramics takes place on the announced dates at Smíchov Embankment in the ŠLIKR café and ceramic workshop. The workshop starts at 10:00 a.m., arrive ideally 15 minutes early to discuss the course of the experience. Afterwards, experienced tutors will take over, introduce you to the techniques of creating and get down to business.

Once you're done, you'll leave your mug and plate in the studio. In order for you to pick up your piece, the ceramic set needs to be well dried and passed through the kiln, then given a coat of clear food-safe glaze, and fired once more by a professional. All in all, it will be available for pick up in three weeks - in the meantime, you can figure out what to enjoy from it.
