The hide is from the part called croupon – the highest quality hide – found on the animal's back, making it incredibly durable. Thanks to the tightly interconnected fibers, it can withstand pulling in all directions.

The leather is tanned in a traditional way using purely natural materials and extracts. This specific type of environmentally-friendly tanning is called vegetable tanning. Vegetable-tanned leather makes processing easier, as its edges can be finished with just water and wood. Not only does this make the finished product look much better, it also makes it more durable.
