How about spending an active day at Malá Skála in the picturesque landscape in the heart of the Bohemian Paradise? Just run down to the Jizera River to the Yellow Swimming Pool and rent a canoe raft with all the equipment. Then you just jump in the boat and hurray for Dolánky. During the nine-kilometre route, you will pass one easy weir, the water is otherwise calm and even beginners need not be afraid of it. But if you get hungry or dry throat, there is nothing easier than to dock at the Křížky pub and freshen up a bit. You can get back to the town of Malá Skála in 10 minutes by train, or you can extend your sporting experience by renting a scooter, which takes about an hour and a half.

The experience begins at Žlutá plovárna in Malá Skála. There, you will get a canoe or a raft, a barrel, vests, paddles, and nothing will stop you from jumping in and going down the calm Jizera River to Dolánky (9 km). Along the way, you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Bohemian Paradise. Should you get hungry or thirsty, you can stop for refreshments. There is only one weir on the whole route that even beginners can easily handle.
You can enjoy the Jizera River with another person and even take your children with you. It would be a shame to have a half-empty raft or a canoe, as they are easier to handle in more people.
The experience takes approximately 2–4 hours; please plan accordingly.
You can park at Žlutá plovárna, and to return to Dolánky, you can take a train (10 minutes) or rent a scooter for a fee (1.5 hours).
