Pony Riding for Children in Chlum u Dubé

On arrival at Stáj NOVÁK, the child will be introduced to the horse and an experienced handler, who will safely lead the animal throughout the experience. The stable will provide a riding helmet and all necessary equipment. The young rider can then take their seat in the saddle and the guided ride begins.

The pace and course of the ride are adapted to the child’s age, confidence and experience. For the youngest children, a parent may walk alongside the horse to support or hold the child. The purchased time refers to the actual time spent in the saddle.

Grooming, saddling and unsaddling the horse are not normally included in the experience. If the child would also like to take part in these activities and get a closer insight into horse care, this can be arranged individually with the stable in advance.

Is the guided ride suitable for a child who has never ridden a horse before?
Yes. The experience is also designed for complete beginners. An experienced handler leads the horse throughout, adapting the ride to the child.

What age can children take part from?
There is no fixed age limit. The provider recommends longer guided rides from around the age of 3, although it always depends primarily on the child’s confidence and individual readiness.

Can a parent walk alongside the child during the guided ride?
Yes. For younger or less confident children, a parent can walk beside the horse to support and hold the child if needed.

The experience may be rescheduled in extreme weather conditions, such as strong winds, thunderstorms or icy conditions. An alternative date will also be provided in the event of sudden illness, injury or an acute adverse health condition affecting the horse, confirmed by a vet.
