Take a trip to the era of Celtic culture in Prague. Thanks to archaeological findings, we know that the Celts not only made weapons out of metal, but also liked to adorn themselves with jewellery and create amulets. For example, thanks to the technique of casting bronze into cuttlefish bones. They engraved the negative of the product into the soft material, then filled the mould with molten bronze and, after cleaning the product, enjoyed the unique jewels. And that is what you can experience today, 2000 years later, at an experiential jewellery making course in Prague.

Program

The production of jewellery from bronze takes place in a workshop in the centre of Prague. There you will be taken care of by artistic blacksmith and experimental archaeologist Dalibor, under whose guidance you will create beautiful castings. There are both stone moulds made of soapstone for rings and a set of cuttlebones ready for you to materialize your ideas.

Once the mould is ready, cast it in bronze. But it's not done yet - you will still sand, polish and possibly decorate the casting with engraving. It depends on your imagination and also on your skill.

The whole creation process takes about 3 to 4 hours. All craft enthusiasts from the age of 15 and up can make their own jewellery, there is no upper limit. Of course, you can take the product home as a souvenir.
