The year 2025 was again marked by experiences. Whether as original gifts or a reward for yourself. Czechs (and Slovaks) continue to prove that they prefer to collect memories rather than things. And what sold the most? We bring you a ranking of the six most popular experiences of the past year.
Adrop Wind Tunnel: When you want to fly, but without a parachute
The overwhelming favourite this year was the wind tunnel, an experience that can be summed up in a single sentence: "The feeling of freefall without jumping out of a plane." The huge interest in it shows that the adrenaline rush is there - but in a safe environment.
"It was a birthday present from my colleagues and I must say I was scared at first, but I ended up enjoying it immensely. The instructors were great and the feeling of the flight is priceless," wrote Lenka from Ostrava in her review.
The tunnel is loved by young and old alike, and it is great for children too. No big preparations, just put on a jumpsuit, put on a helmet - and go flying!
Tandem parachute jump.
Those who want to jump straight into a new experience, literally, chose the tandem skydive again this year. And no wonder. The plane soars to an altitude of 3,000 to 4,000 metres, a moment of silence... and then a free fall at over 200 km/h. Adrenaline? Yes, it is. But mostly euphoria and an unforgettable experience.
"I never thought I'd be persuaded to do this. But the jump was absolutely incredible. The best present I've ever received," writes Marek, who got the experience from a friend.
A balloon ride: the romance you only see in the movies
While the first two experiences are aimed at adrenaline lovers, the third place goes to a classic that relies on tranquillity, beauty and emotion - a sightseeing balloon flight. The view from above, the silence broken only by the burners, the sunrise or sunset and the sound of the landscape below. An experience that never gets old.
Balloon flights were popular especially as gifts for couples, but also as a "dream come true" for parents or grandparents.
The school of skidding: An adrenaline rush with added value
An experience that combines fun and responsibility. The skid school has been at the top of the charts for a long time. However, the points deduction option in particular is gaining in popularity.
"I enjoyed the course. The instructor was patient, we tried out a lot and I think I react much more confidently in crisis situations now," says Iveta.
A great tip for young drivers and those who drive frequently but want to push their driving skills.
Bungee jumping from a bridge: only for strong characters
An experience that requires courage. Bungee jumping from a bridge maintains its popularity thanks to the pure adrenaline rush. Whether jumping off the bridge in Chomutov or in other locations, it is a real "life changer".
The experience is often taken by those interested themselves or given as a challenge to friends. Although it is extreme, it is still true: safety first.
Autocross.
The sixth place belongs to an experience that will delight any lover of speed, noise and dirt. Autocross offers a ride in a real racing special on the dirt, with plenty of slides and adrenaline.
"I felt like a rally driver! I did get a little bit stuck in a corner, but it was absolutely great. I would have added a few more laps," writes one of the participants with a smile.
And what will 2026 bring?
Will the new year be dominated by adrenaline-fuelled experiences, or will the trend be more towards relaxation and peace? Perhaps completely new forms of entertainment will enter the scene. But one thing is certain: the choice of experience is yours.
