What is a tandem skydive
This relatively young branch of skydiving gives the general public a chance to sample the adrenaline rush of freefall and subsequent glide to the ground. There is no need to undergo any expensive training. Just put yourself in the hands of a pro who will master the technical side of the experience for you.
Don't worry, it's not like riding with training wheels. Even though the instructor is there to make sure the experience goes smoothly and keeps you strapped in, it's still a brutal adrenaline rush. You'll be free-falling to the ground for almost a minute, with winds of around 200 km/h whipping through your face and hair!
How does a tandem jump work?
Before you can enjoy your minute of freefall, you first have to get to an altitude of some 3,500 to 4,000 metres. You can do that with a one-way ticket. The trip up takes around 20 minutes, during which you can enjoy the scenery. Or be soothed by an instructor.
During the journey, the instructor will clip you in, check everything and then you wait together for the signal to jump. You fly in a rented jumpsuit and goggles to avoid being blown away. If you want to remind yourself how good you looked, we recommend buying photos or video of the experience.
Once you're close enough to the ground, it's time to open your chute and enjoy the silence and views of the world below. You have another 10 to 15 minutes to do this, during which time you will slowly descend to the ground.

Where to go for that aerial adrenaline rush?
Tandem skydiving takes place at airports across the Czech Republic, starting from 3 999 CZK crowns. In addition to the bargain price, the experience of the month also includes a free T-shirt in your pocket. All you have to do is choose the airport in Most to jump.
But there are also jumps in other locations: from the Zlín region to Pilsen to Liberec. And would you like to jump outside our meadows and groves? Hop over to Slovakia, where you can enjoy this adrenaline rush in several locations.
What about the safety of tandem jumps?
If you're not looking for an adrenaline rush with life-threatening risks, you're in the right place. Tandem skydiving is one of the safest sports ever. Because any little mistake could mean big trouble, and nobody takes that on their chest.
For every 700 jumps, there's one injury, and that's often just a bumped ankle from landing a little too hard. Fortunately, there are hardly any fatalities, even the instructor wants to get to the ground safely. In numbers, the risk of a fatal accident is below 1 in 100,000.

How old and how many kilos can you jump?
The lower age limit for tandem jumping depends mostly on individual agreement and also on your discretion. As far as the upper limit is concerned, you can jump 100 if you are medically fit. The weight limits are stricter, usually you have to fit into 110 kg, but often you have to pay a little extra on the spot above 95 kg.
