Send your photography enthusiast to a darkroom course! They will master the craft and the camera and be able to create professional images in low light conditions. The recipient will learn about the theoretical part of night photography and how to deal with possible complications. Accompanied by an experienced lecturer, they will then go out into the streets of Brno in the practical part. He will use a tripod, learn how to set up the camera correctly and take photos with long shutter speeds. Exposure, correct composition, focusing, white balance, minimum noise... none of these concepts will be foreign to him after the course. Click! He will learn tips and tricks for night photography. He will be able to shoot architecture, buildings, close-ups and portraits of people in the dark. In the night photography course, he will also learn the popular special technique of painting with light. The two-day workshop will start with a theoretical part about three hours before dark, then he will shoot in the streets of Brno at night until late. In the afternoon of the second day, the lecturers and the students will evaluate the shots together. For the course, the student needs his/her own camera, ideally a digital SLR, and a tripod.

What can you expect during the 11-hour night photography course? First, you will learn about the specifics of this type of photography, learn how to work with a long shutter speed and get good at focusing and exposure. You'll learn how to shoot with a minimum of noise and how to play with light. After the workshop, you will know how to set up your camera properly, take night photos of architecture, buildings, and details, as well as painting with light.
To complete the course you need your own DSLR or other digital camera with manual settings for shutter speed, aperture, and sensitivity (ISO) (A, S, P, M modes) and a tripod. The course is suitable for photo enthusiasts who already have the basics down pat.
