Prague is the starting point of the St. Nicholas adventure on the rails. On 4 December, a special train departs from Prague Central Station for Rakovník and the northern Baroque region of Plzeň and returns to the capital the same evening. This makes the experience ideal for families with children from Prague and the Central Bohemian Region who want to experience the Advent atmosphere without the need to stay overnight.

The departure from the main station adds a festive framework to the whole event. The historic train, the St. Nicholas entourage on board and the bar car create an environment that combines the nostalgia of the railway with the traditional pre-Christmas programme. Prague is thus not just a departure point, but a natural start to a trip that offers a different view of Advent - from the window of a special train.

The meeting takes place at Prague Central Station before the departure of the special train. After boarding the decorated train, the train sets off towards Rakovník and the northern Pilsen region. Shortly after departure outside Prague, the St. Nicholas programme begins - parents can hand over prepared packages to the St. Nicholas team, who will personally distribute them to the children during the journey.

During the journey, you will enjoy the atmosphere of the historic train, the possibility of refreshments in the bar car and, depending on time, a peek at the locomotive or a short tour during your stay in the destination area. The program is designed as a relaxing Advent trip that combines travel, a driving experience and a St. Nicholas gift.

In the evening, the train returns to Prague to the main station.
