Need some fresh wind in your sails? Try sailing. At Orlik you can try it in a comfortable cabin sailboat even without the need for a skipper's license. You will fit on board in a group of four. So just decide who will be the captain of this cruise and go for it.
The Balt 17 is 5 metres long and has a sail area of 12 square metres. It's just right even for complete newcomers to the world of sailing. Don't worry, no one is throwing you into the water without preparation, first you will have training and demonstrations of boat handling.
On board you'll find a canister of drinking water, a gas cooker, utensils and of course life saving equipment. There is also a gasoline canister ready, because even sailboats have an engine, in case the wind is not so favorable after all. Whether you go for a swim or prefer a more action-packed ride on windy days is up to you. During the 7-hour experience, there will be plenty of time for adventurous sailing and enjoying the sights and scenery of the largest Vltava dam.

Before you set out to wade the waters of Orlik, check out the instructional videos you will receive before the experience. In the comfort of your own home, you'll learn the basic controls of a sailboat and can watch as many times as you need to.
On the day of the cruise, you'll get a hands-on taste of your newfound knowledge, with plenty of time to fill in the blanks. But you won't have to dwell on the very basics anymore, because you'll have them down pat. And you'll also have more time for the actual sailing (which runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm), when you won't need to fiddle with the basics. And if you do lose your head, there's a paper manual on board.
You can sail in all weathers, you always need to choose appropriate clothing. Alternatively, arrange another date if the weather forecast is too unfavourable. For sunny days, remember your swimsuit, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen and headgear, and for windier weather, pack a windbreaker to keep out the cold. Shoes should ideally be without black soles.
In any case, the boat has a cabin where you can take shelter from the weather, or where you can store a backpack with snacks or electronics.
