High Tatras: Ascent of Furkotský štít with a mountain guide – High Tatras – Furkotský štít

The hike to Furkotský štít is of moderate physical difficulty, with a few technical sections which will be secured by a mountain guide if necessary. The entire ascent takes 6 to 8 hours, and you can also take older children who have some hiking experience. Together, you’ll climb 1,000 metres in altitude.

You will meet your UIMLA-certified guide at Štrbské Pleso and from there you will follow the route: Mlýnická Valley – Skok Waterfall – Capie Pleso – below the Bystrá footbridge – Furkotský štít (2,405 m). From the peak, you’ll descend into the Furkotská Valley, where the two Wahlenberg Lakes are situated. From there, you can either continue on to Štrbské Pleso or return to the chalet below Solisko and take the chairlift down from there.
