Ascent to Lomnicky Peak High Tatras - Tatranská Lomnica

Your ascent to Lomnicky Peak starts in Tatranská Lomnica, from where the cable car will take you to Skalnate Pleso and further to Lomnicky Saddle (2190 m above sea level). After that you will go on your own. Right at the beginning of the hike, you will find a section along the southwestern edge, which offers beautiful views of the Prostřední hrot and the Malá Studená dolina. You will then tie into the rope and start the ascent along the historic Emerici Trail. You will cross the rocky chute "Pod podpěrou" and gradually approach the very top of Lomnický štít.

There you will take a break, rest and enjoy the unforgettable views of the whole Tatra Mountains. On the way back, you will descend through a chute with chains and around the Mojžíš Spring back to the Lomnické sedlo, from where you will take the cable car to Tatranská Lomnica.

The whole program takes approximately 4 - 6 hours, with an elevation gain of 460m.

• Difficulty: climbing difficulty up to grade II
• Suitable for: hikers with normal fitness, families with children from 10 years of age
• Required equipment: sturdy hiking shoes, sports clothing according to the weather, small backpack
