In this unique place in the protected landscape area, they already take care of 100 bee colonies. Give yourself the opportunity to enjoy an amazing day with a professional beekeeper. There is only a small group of people on the experience, so that everyone gets enough attention, can ask questions and most importantly try everything for themselves. They will learn how to identify ripe honey, how a hive is arranged, how a bee colony works, what propolis is, how to forage, how queen bees are larvae and lots of other interesting information. - an experienced beekeeper will describe and explain in detail the "wax and honey path". He can also have a look into a microscope to see how a bee looks like under it, how its greatest enemy—Varroa destructor—looks like, how a pollen grain looks like, etc.
- a potential discussion of apitherapy—a treatment using bee products.
- a practical part with the bees, in which participants are dressed in beekeeping suits and taken to the hives in groups. There, the beekeper will open up the hive, give everyone a hive frame, and describe everything they see.
- during the time of the year when drones are present, the beekeeper will catch one of them and put it in their hands (don't worry, they don't bite, and they don't have a stinger).
- making out candles out of bee wax. The beekeper will explain the individual procedures and the know-how, so that everyone can make 3 different and colorful candles. The whole experienced can be changed to spend more time on this part and make more candles.
- during the whole experience, they will also get to taste the honey made by local bees, as well as a mead.
- afterwards, it's possible to purchase anything from the local range of products—candles that are offered at that time, decorations, creative sets and gift sets, mead, cosmetics, etc.
