Lovers of extreme speed and purist driving have reason to celebrate. To mark its 25th anniversary, British legend Ariel Motor has unveiled the sharpest version of its iconic model yet - the Ariel Atom 4RR. Forget about luxurious leather or air conditioning; this is all about one thing: uncompromising performance and an experience that's akin to driving a Formula One monoposto.
Extreme performance under 700 kilograms
While conventional sports cars are getting fatter and fatter, the new Atom 4RR goes the other way. The whole machine weighs less than 700 kilograms, which combined with Honda's hand-folded engine makes for an absolutely insane power-to-weight ratio.
The two-litre turbocharged four-cylinder (originally from the Civic Type R) has been tuned to an incredible 525bhp and 550Nm of torque. What does this mean in practice?
-
0-60mph in 2.4 seconds.
-
Acceleration to 100 mph (161 km/h) in just 5.1 seconds.
The car gets a six-speed sequential gearbox, top-of-the-range Öhlins adjustable dampers and an AP Racing braking system. While it's a "formula on the mark" that you can legally put into traffic, its natural habitat is the race track.

Experience the adrenaline rush at the Masaryk Circuit in Brno
It's one thing to read about 525 horsepower in a tubular frame, but to feel the overload on your own body is an experience that will change your perspective on physics. You don't have to head straight to a British factory and shell out nearly £6 million for a new 4RR, because you can experience Ariel's legendary acceleration right here.
At the South Moravian Masaryk Circuit in Brno you have a unique chance to saddle the predecessor of this novelty - the Ariel Atom 4. It may not have the extreme 525 horsepower, but believe us, its 320 horsepower will give you a good workout in the open cockpit.
What are your options?
-
An adrenaline rush behind the wheel: rent an Ariel Atom in Brno and find out what it's like to cut corners on one of Central Europe's most beautiful circuits.
-
Extreme co-driving: If you'd rather be driven by a professional who gets the most out of the car, a carpooling experience at the Masaryk Circuit is the perfect choice for you.
-
Clash of the Titans: Do you want to know if the "tube phantom" or the real Formula Renault is faster? This comparison test will give you the answer.

Who is the Ariel Atom for?
The new 4RR confirms that Ariel Motor still belongs at the top of the purist car food chain. It's a machine for those who seek mechanical perfection without electronic frills. Whether you reach for the latest limited edition model or decide to take a ride in an Ariel in Brno, prepare to have a smile (and maybe a little fear) on your face when you step out of the cockpit.
