When my family and I decided to try out the Douglas DC-9 flight simulator in Liberec, we had no idea that we were in for such an authentic and intense experience. Yes, we had read that it is a world unique, but you know. From the first moment we were engrossed in the atmosphere of a real cockpit, which was imported from Canada and has over 88,500 flying hours. Every switch, light and instrument is original, which adds to the simulator's credibility.

After a short briefing, we settled into the pilot and co-pilot seats. A seat cushion was provided for our ten year old son, allowing him to comfortably reach the controls. The staff was very helpful and patient, which we as parents appreciated very much.

The simulator offers a 270° projection that literally pulls you into the action. Five HD projectors create the illusion of a real flight, whether you're taking off from Prague Airport, your favourite Innsbruck or landing in New York. We loved flying over Karlštejn or Prague.

Our son was thrilled and said it was one of the best experiences of his life. Everyone enjoyed being the pilot and co-pilot and landing at different airports. The simulator is suitable for children aged 10 and above, but younger children can enjoy it with the help of an instructor and get involved if they have the patience and desire to explore. The important thing is just not to disturb others and to stay focused the whole time.

The experience doesn't end with the landing. Each participant is photographed and the entire flight is filmed. The footage is then sent to you so you can recall your piloting performance at home or show off to friends.
