The DC-9 flight simulator in Liberec is unlike anything you have seen before. It's a one of a kind, because it's made out from the cockpit of a real aircraft. It was brought from Canada, and the result of spending 4 years of hard work on it is absolutely stunning. The flight instruments respond exactly as they would in a real airplane! The 270° projection around the cockpit is 3.5 metres away and is made possible thanks to 5 projectors. You won't find a simulator in the Czech Republic that comes even close to this one! The pilot gets to experience very strong emotions such as happiness after takeoff, fear and adrenaline during landing, or feelings of awe that come after looking out of the cockpit. This really is a unique experience, because a simulator such as this doesn't exist anywhere else in the world! Wondering what is so special about it? It is made from the cockpit of a real aircraft, which was brought from Canada. And wow, what a simulator it is! Everything in it is exactly the same as in a real aircraft, thus making it a truly authentic experience. The simulator is located in Liberec and you can treat yourself or someone else to several options, ranging from 30 to 180 minutes. Two persons can pilot the aircraft at the same the—the captain and the first officer—so the recipient can take one person with them to try the experience. Before they take to the air, however, there will go through short series of instructions, so that they know which stick is used for what.

„I loved it and so did my wife, who was with me as co-pilot. It's authentic and it feels just like you're flying a real plane. It's amazing that you can choose any airport in the world to take off from. The soundscape of the engines and the airflow is amazing. Take the stick and the plane actually turns and banks with you. „The cabin of the DC-9 aircraft located in an inconspicuous room completely enchanted me, everything was not AS real, it WAS real. Controls that had served their flying careers in machines no longer flying, scratched, dusty. Just as realistic as possible, it doesn't get any more so. As a co-pilot, I could deal with "only" take-off, flight and landing. The first pilot, who expertly explained and navigated everything, controlled the plane with bravado - the flaps, the thrust, the landing gear deployed at the right moment, the visual guidance to the airport. Being able to choose an airport to take off from, fly over a nearby city and in one case land at a different one than the one I took off from convinced me that flying is not easy. Thank you for the opportunity to try this out.“

„Hello. The sensory control of the aircraft is an absolutely wonderful experience. Don't compare it to driving a car at all, it's something completely different, it's not easy. The hardest part is taking off and landing. I recommend sensible shoes to change into. Surprisingly you can take off from all airports in the world, it is good to think about this in advance, there are about 5 take offs and it is good to have someone with the same interest next to you to try it. I will definitely try again. An unforgettable experience. The video of the experience is also a great thing. The cockpit with analog instruments is a piece of beautiful aviation history that you are unlikely to come across again anywhere“
