What was life like in western Bohemia in the Middle Ages? Give yourself the gift of a fascinating tour of Pilsen's historic underground, where participants will peer a whole floor below the city and uncover its past. They will discover a labyrinth of corridors, cellars and wells where authentic finds and uncovered secrets await them. All this with the interpretation of an experienced guide who will be happy to share his historical knowledge. Gourmets will get a free taste of 0.3 litres of Pilsner Urquell beer, which has been making history in the beer world since 1842.
There are 13 kilometres of corridors under the historic centre of Pilsen, almost a kilometre of which you can see for yourself. The underground served several functions in its time. In addition to shelter during wartime, it was used to store food and, most importantly, to ferment, age and store the legendary beer that made Pilsen famous around the world. You will get to know one of the largest historical underground systems in Central Europe and still enjoy good Czech beer.

Helmets on, and the 50-minute trip into the history of the mysterious underground of Plzeň may begin. An experience guide will take him through the labyrinth of corridors that dates back to the 14th century. Since then, tens of new corridors have been built, and he will have a chance to see one kilometer for himself. How was the underground built and what was its purpose? He will learn about the everyday life of the medieval peasants and many other fun and history-related facts.
