Before take-off, he will briefly get acquainted with the balloon and the pilot. He will see how the balloon inflates with hot air, then he and his flying partner will get into the balloon and slowly start to ascend. One metre off the ground, two, three... the car he's in already looks like a child's toy. The hot air balloon flies at an altitude of 50 - 300 meters. The flight itself lasts 1 hour, the whole experience is for 3 - 4 hours. The balloon takes off only in the morning or evening. The ballooning experience also includes a baptism ceremony and upon successful landing, both passengers are crowned to "ballooner" status. A toast is not to be missed. A private sightseeing balloon ride takes approximately 1 hour, but you should reserve about 3–4 hours for the whole experience. After all, it's not easy to get the right conditions! The flights are always done at sunrise or about 3 hours before sunset. But why? It's not only because of the more romantic views, the thermal currents during the day play a crucial role as well, seeing as they can make the flight very unsafe. When the conditions are favourable, the balloon will take you 50 to 300 meters into the air where you can see the world from a bird's eye view. And it flies at the speed of the wind, which translates to a distance of 10 to 20 kilometers. However, the experience is far from being over upon landing. The pilot will arrange a small ceremony for the participants and give them the title of ballooner. A certificate as proof is a given, of course!
You can go for a balloon flight over Prague, Brno, Ostrava, and in many different locations across the Czech Republic. When it comes to variants, you can do a 1-person flight, a romantic 2-person flight, or a whole 10-person flight with family or friends. Hello, is it possible to make a private balloon flight for 6 people from Znojmo?
Dear Ms. Kobrova, I would like to book a hot air balloon flight for me and my boyfriend for our anniversary on October 9. We live in Melnik, so it would be great if I can book it somewhere close to it. Are Roundnice nad Labem the closest place or there is any better? We don't have a car. Also, I just saw in the description that we should book 2-3 weeks in advance, and the date is in just two weeks. If the weather will be good, is it possible to do it on or around that date?
