The rented cabin boat, model Barracuda 585, is 580 cm long and 250 cm wide. It is equipped with an engine with a maximum power of 20 HP, which puts it in category C. The cabin, with its ample seating height, allows for comfortable overnight stays, while the front of the boat offers a direct sunbathing area.
Personal belongings are easily stowed in the longitudinal shelves and cubbies under the mattresses, while additional storage awaits in the cockpit under the bench. The sporty Silvertex fabric seat cushions will keep you comfortable even on longer journeys, without uncomfortable sweating.
What is the Bata Canal and what beauty does it offer?
The 52-kilometre-long Bata Canal takes you on an adventurous cruise full of history and beautiful nature. Between 1934 and 1938, it was created between Otrokovice and Rohatec near Hodonín as an industrial waterway that floated the Morava River. Today it is considered a unique technical monument and is also used by tourists who can sail through the 12-metre wide and 1.5 metre deep canal on a rented boat.
During the experience, you can sail through 14 locks, climb moving weirs and climb 50 bridges. Uherské Hradiště, the wine-growing Slovácko region or Strážnice with its open-air museum attract visitors. Don't forget to check the cultural calendar - in the summer there are countless events, not only as part of the Strážnice Cultural Summer.
A three-day cruise on the Bata Canal in a cabin boat is a great experience for a couple, a group of friends or a family. You can sail with up to 5 people, but if you want more comfort, it is better to pack four people into the cabin. You don't need any special permits to drive the boat, just bring your ID and be over 18 years old.

Boarding takes place on Tuesday or Friday between 9:00 and 10:00, depending on the chosen option. Before you start navigating the waters of the Bata Canal, you will receive a short training on how to operate the boat and then it's up to you. The boat is returned on Thursdays or Sundays between 17:00 and 18:00.
Bata Canal cruise price includes:

The price of the experience does not include fuel. You will rent the boat with a full tank and pay for the fuel upon return based on actual consumption (approx. 300 to 1,000 CZK).
You should know
- The boat offers the convenience of an outlet and lighting, a sink with water and a refrigerator. You'll also find lifesaving features, a first aid kit and a drinking water reservoir.
- You won't find a shower on board, but there are restrooms available at all Bata Canal docks. There is, however, an eco-friendly toilet on board to provide you with basic comfort.
- The boat sleeps up to 5 people, to make sleeping really comfortable, we recommend to sleep a maximum of 4 people. There are no blankets on the boat, so don't forget to pack your sleeping bags. On hot summer days it can be quite hot in the cabin - so you can take a tent and sleep on the shore.
- WARNING! In case of bad weather (strong winds, storms or floods) the date cannot be used and you will be given a choice of another date. The same applies if the water level is low and the canal is not navigable.
