Via Ferrata Course for Children at Zvonička

After being fitted with their via ferrata equipment, the children will be looked after by a certified climbing instructor, who will gradually introduce them to safe movement on a via ferrata, rock faces and in mountain terrain.

During the course, children will try rock climbing, walking and balancing on ropes, nets and acacia trunks. Each activity naturally helps to develop their motor skills, balance and ability to engage their whole body actively.

The experience also includes a bonus rope skills session, where they can try abseiling and tying knots.

What age can children take part in the via ferrata course from?
The course is suitable for children aged 6 and over.

Does my child need hiking or climbing experience?
No. No previous hiking experience is required. Your child simply needs to be comfortable using playground equipment.

What will children get to try during the course?
They can look forward to moving and balancing on ropes, nets and acacia trunks, as well as rock climbing. The course also includes rope work, abseiling and knot tying.

Do children need their own via ferrata equipment?
No, a via ferrata set can be hired on site. Children only need comfortable sports clothing and suitable footwear.

How long does the via ferrata course last?
The current course options for one or two children last 2–3 hours.
