Give your sports kid an underwater experience - he'll swim like a dolphin! The pool freediving course in Brno is suitable for a beginner who likes water and occasionally dives on holiday. He will enjoy a wonderful relaxation during free diving without oxygen and finally know how to work with his breathing, ear pressure and his whole body during the dive. During the two-day breathing pool course he will learn about diving techniques, safety rules and the physiology of the body underwater. In Brno, he will be taught by professional freediver Petr Vala, who is a world champion in this water sport. On the first day the newcomer will learn the necessary theory and breathing exercises. Once he has slept on it, the next day he will go to the pool for training, where he will learn the technique of swimming with freediving fins. He'll go through a series of tests and drills to get really good at everything and control his body. After completing the course, he will be able to safely dive to greater depths. Even if it doesn't seem like it at first, freediving is a relaxing sport. It is a beautiful way to switch off, clear your head, calm down and enjoy the wonderful ease of being. So breathe in and hurray for the deep!
What can he expect in the freediving course?
Friday afternoon:
- Breathing theory, demonstration videos and practice,
- basic physiology and proper breathing,
- breathing exercises and breath holding on dry land,
- freediving safety rules and diving risks.
Saturday:
- Pool practice and video-training with another batch of theory,
- Static apnea - try maximum breath holding under the guidance of an instructor,

The freediving course in Brno lasts for two days, during which the participants will learn a lot of theory which they will then put into practice.
On the first day, you will learn how the human body works when underwater and what happens to it when you hold your breath. You will practice how to increase maximum lung capacity and how to breathe properly. You will also learn safety rules of freediving and talk about the risks.
The beginning of the second day will be full of theory, but then you will move to the pool, where you will put that theory into practice under the guidance of experienced instructors. You'll test your maximum lung capacity during static apnoea and how much you can swim in one breath during dynamic apnoea.
At the end of the course, you will go through a test. If you succeed, you will receive an international certification that will allow you to freedive on your own.
