What to expect
A tandem skydive is a one-of-a-kind chance to jump out of a plane and experience the incredible rush of freefall. First, there’ll be a short briefing on what to do – and what not to do – during your jump. For example, don’t cling to the plane for dear life. Then it’s time to get kitted out and board the aircraft. Any nerves will quickly disappear when you hear that one instructor can complete as many as 387 jumps a month – all safely. With that reassurance, you can simply climb aboard and enjoy the scenic flight up.
At an altitude of 6,000 metres, it’s time to jump and enjoy the eagerly anticipated freefall at speeds of up to 200 km/h. What a thrill! The parachute flight lasts 10 to 20 minutes, with unforgettable views of the landscape below. By arrangement with your instructor, you may even be able to try steering the parachute and take control of the flight yourself. The whole experience takes around 4 hours. Your adrenaline will be pumping – and once you land, the urge to do it all again will be stronger than ever.
