Intensive sailing course for beginners

The intensive 9-hour sailing course starts at the Landal Marina Lipno in Lipno nad Vltavou at 10:00. The course can be sailed throughout the season from May 1 to October 15. The only condition is suitable weather conditions - the course will not take place in strong winds above 15 m/s, storms and persistent rain.

Clothing to suit the weather. On sunny days, don't forget sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen; on cooler days, a windbreaker and sweater will be appreciated. In any case, wear sports shoes without black soles.

The price of the sailing course includes:

• rental of a cabin sailboat,
• the services of a qualified skipper/instructor,
• teaching text,
• if eligible, you may be given a verification of experience if interested in applying for a captain's license (must notify in advance when booking).

What kind of program can you look forward to?

First, you will go through the theory and learn the basic terminology at the boat dock. Once you have everything in your head, you'll try your hand at it too - sailing out of the harbour, hoisting the sails and learning basic rigging. Then you'll take it up another level, learning to sail upwind, crosswind, backwind and tailwind. You will also learn basic engine manoeuvres and other essentials.
