Relax in nature with time for a good meditation

A stay in nature will recharge the batteries of even the most nervous. If you let the sun's rays caress you and listen to the sounds of the forest, there's no room for stress, just give it a try. Being in nature is also great for a digital detox. If you're hiking in the mountains, a signal that's significantly weaker than you're used to will help.

But you don't necessarily have to go outdoors just to hike up hills, just take a picnic blanket and a basket filled with goodies and relax in the park. And if one day isn't enough, try one of the unconventional stays where you'll stay in the treetops, or stay in a fancy glamping tent that offers all the comforts of modern accommodation, only you're literally steps away from nature. The tranquillity just invites you to switch off your phone and your head.

And how do you actually go about meditating?

  • Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
  • Sit comfortably, and make sure you don't get any pain after a while, because you won't enjoy the meditation.
  • Set a timer. A few minutes is enough to get started, it doesn't seem like it, but it's a chore to not think about anything. Just make sure you don't get an annoying ringing noise that will take you out of meditation rather indiscriminately.
  • Close your eyes and breathe calmly. Let your thoughts drift and concentrate only on the breath.
  • Accept your thoughts. Don't worry, it's perfectly okay for thoughts to pop into your head, don't make it hard on yourself, just accept them as part of the process and bring your mind back to the breath.
  • End the meditation gradually. Before you open your eyes, reflect on how you feel.

Try the adrenaline experiences you're having here and now.

Meditation is not for you? Try adrenaline experiences that leave your thoughts flying nowhere. Because they are so action-packed that you won't have time to think about life.

What is adrenaline and what are its effects?

Before we dive in headfirst, let's actually find out what adrenaline is and how it works in the body. In a nutshell, it is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands and prepares the body for attack or flight. It's what makes you able to perform extreme feats and outdo yourself. Your heart rate and blood pressure increase, your airways expand and your body mobilises energy to cope with the situation.

And how does adrenaline actually work to clear your head?

During extreme experiences, the brain goes into a state of high alertness - we focus on the current challenge and there's no room left for worry. Then, once the rush is over, endorphins are flushed into the body and we are rewarded with euphoria and a good feeling of having done it. Stress levels are reduced as well. It's a bit of a drug.

Go for the adrenaline rush without worrying

Don't worry, even adrenaline activities can be done safely, and there's no danger of anything but a racing heart and eyes on top of your head. Now all you have to do is choose whether you want to go for it in the air, on the water, or if you'd rather keep your feet on the ground.

Bungee jumping is one of the top adrenaline sports - the one from the 62 m high bridge near Chomutov won gold in the Experience of the Year 2023 poll. If you want to keep your head in the clouds, don't miss the tandem parachute jump, which offers up to one minute of free fall at 200 km/h.

For the earthy elements, we recommend the extreme quad bike ride, the mud will be up to your ears, we'll bet our boots on it! The adrenaline level rises to the maximum in all cases.

Jump into the spa and let your worries drift away

A relaxed mind goes hand in hand with physical well-being. And where else to relax than with a proper wellness experience? You can relax for a few hours or go for a multi-day stay that leaves no room for worries. You'll be treated like royalty.

If you're worried about sensitive skin or the inconvenience of eczema or acne, make sure you head to the hemp spa in the Bohemian Forest for a break. You will relax in a hemp bath that can cope with almost all skin ailments. But beer baths are also suitable for skin problems. There, you will be given a pint glass and you can sip beer to your taste while relaxing. Unlimited.

Find a hobby that absorbs you

One of the most effective ways to clear your head and maintain your mental balance is to find a hobby that grabs you.

Sports and hobbies in general stimulate the release of endorphins, considered the happiness hormones, and thus help reduce stress and anxiety levels. In fact, when you focus on an activity that engrosses you, your mind can finally take a break from the endless merry-go-round of thoughts and worries. This not only leads to an immediate feeling of contentment, but can improve your overall mental well-being in the long run.

And that you don't know what to try?

How about climbing? You'll engage your whole body, train your balance and, when you head to the rocks, you'll also enjoy some awesome views after a well-deserved climb. But first, take a course under the guidance of a pro so you don't break your head instead of clearing it.

But with Adrop, you can try a bunch of other hobbies - from acting to jewellery making to sailing. And while you might not find yourself right away, at the very least you'll make some cool memories and learn something new.

So you know how to put stress behind you?
