We arrive at the Juliš Palace building, which at first appears quite inconspicuous. We are even more surprised when we ascend to the second floor, where a stunning large space with a magnificent view of Wenceslas Square opens up in front of us.
(If you don't feel like climbing the stairs like we did, or if you are going out with a stroller or after some good food, there is also an elevator that will take you up comfortably. A big plus for wheelchair access.)
First, let's get some exercise
When we enter we are greeted and as we are a little early, we are not kicked out but are offered a seat and a drink. The view from here is truly magnificent!
We didn't know what to expect, so we stuck to coffee and water. If you'd like to fortify yourself with something else, the rather extensive menu also includes beer, wine, carbonated drinks and small snacks.

Game selection and training
Now a nice lady is coming to get us and she greets us once more, introduces herself and we move to the gaming part of the arena. For today, we have chosen virtual dispatch as our four-person ladies team. The lady first consults with us about our ideas for the difficulty and theme of the game and then promptly recommends that the Greece expedition is the one for us!
We go through a short training session on how to use the controllers, how to navigate in virtual reality and at the same time we learn a lot of interesting information about what we are actually going to experience. Of course, there's also a question and answer period, which we're happy to take advantage of.
The girl fits us each with virtual reality goggles, custom-fitting each one to make us feel comfortable. We also receive a headset that allows us to hear not only ourselves in the game but also the surrounding virtual world, which greatly enhances the atmosphere of the whole experience. The last piece of equipment is two controllers, one in each hand, and the journey can begin!

Virtual reality as we know it
Our trainer is still attached with us for a while to really get the controls perfect. We choose our avatars, which we can accessorize with different helmets and accessories, which of course we as a group of girls enjoy immensely.
We also have a captain's button available at all times, which we can always use to summon a member of staff to help us with a difficult in-game situation or any technical difficulties. Now we're on our own and we're off on an adventure!
During the expedition, we admire great visuals and sound, beautiful places that sometimes literally take your breath away, and at the same time we solve the challenges that we have to conquer as a team to successfully reach our destination. We'll try our hand at archery, climbing cave walls, crossbow fire, and fighting the dreaded Medusa.
The game completely absorbs us and so the 74 minutes we play will pass like water.
We are at the finish line! Laughter from ear to ear on each of our faces. We enthusiastically tell each other our observations over each other, as if we had actually returned from an expedition in ancient Greece.
We are all excited to hear the stories of our lives.

Rating
We bid farewell to the whole team and thank our wonderful lady trainer who guided us perfectly through the whole experience and was always on hand when we needed her.
Now we have to go home, but it is still in the spirit of an unforgettable expedition. We are already thinking about what trip we will take next and we can't wait.

Tip for you
If you'd prefer something more action-packed, VR Play Park also offers the option of virtual paintball, escape games: like Cosmos or Mind Horror, the Virtualizer simulator where you'll fight dangerous Zombies, or flight simulators that the U.S. Air Force itself uses for training.
There are plenty of options, so you can keep coming back for a slightly different, unusual adventure each time. Most importantly, during the month of January, Adrop is exclusively offering you 15% off all of the aforementioned vr experiences.
We definitely highly recommend a visit, and who knows, maybe next time we'll even meet here together!
