I have to admit, I didn't really believe it at first. Yet another amusement center that is the biggest, the best, the most unique, the most original, the most everything... well, yeah, but that's what every other amusement park says about itself. And they can't all be the best, that's not how it works. I was excited to go to Futurento though, it was supposed to be something new and they promised thousands of balls. And who wouldn't want to play in colored balls like Sheldon.
Or as a kid... I thought the promotion called for ciphers, climbing, laser mazes, and when I thought of swimming in balloons, I couldn't resist.
A future that sends shivers down the spine
The whole game is wrapped in a thoughtful imagining of a future that no one would want to experience live. Once you enter Futurent, you're transported to 2088, a time when modern technology rules the world, the apocalypse is raging outside, there's no order, gangs are forming, people are dying and food is slowly running out. In short, a world on the brink of destruction that you don't want to wake up to.
I had seen some of my favorite movies in the story, so I was starting to like it there. I like it when a game has some deeper thought and is well thought out.
Is it really that big?
As soon as you park, a huge hall appears in front of you and suddenly you can believe that the playing area is actually 2000m2 and that it is played on 3 floors. After arriving and a little refreshment we split into two teams of 4. We went to Futurento in a big way, if we try something, we try it hard!

Modern technology everywhere you look
Since everything takes place in the modern future, we were accompanied by a smartphone with a specially developed app. One team got a vest and the other (mine, destined to win) got arm warmers, which we hid our phones in during the game.

Team bull.
My team included our tester Dan, who you know from our videos, our producer Bára, who you know from all the experiences (because she invents and arranges them), the head of Adrop Slovakia Martina (you know her if you go to Slovakia sometimes) and me, you know me if you ever read anything by us. In short, a dreamteam, what shall we say. Not that there was any competition between the teams, not at all, I just can't remember who lost in the other team :-)
Here we go.
After a short briefing on the gameplay, we all filled out a short psychological questionnaire that divided us into factions. This is because each member of the team has a different role, although they work together on most tasks - one member is a daredevil, one is a builder, one is a naturalist and one is a diplomat. But don't worry if you suffer (like Dan) from being a diplomat and you thought you were the coolest badass on the team all along, next time you can switch roles.

We're finally off to save the world!
The goal was clear - complete as many tasks as possible in the shortest time, find as many tags as possible to collect as many points as possible, make it to the finals and save the world. It was a piece of cake.
By the way, points are also collected with the help of a smartphone, just complete the task or find and scan the tag. I guess it's something like this

As you can see in the picture, there are colored corners on each tag to symbolize which players can get those points (and scan the tag). In fact, each faction has its own horn and its own color. It's relatively easy to tell if you've earned a point or not by the sound it makes. Don't worry, it's easy to spot a bad one
How did we play?
The legends didn't lie, the Futurento really worked our muscles. But we were a great team and we helped each other out.

Let's recap in a little more detail- does Futurento have the best of the climbing centers?
.jpg)
I have to agree with that, they crawled up ropes, climbing walls and other obstacles I can't even name. All the climbing challenges completely consumed us, sometimes we couldn't even keep track of time. So definitely accomplished.
The best of the escape games and ciphers?
We often had to really warm up our brain threads a lot. There are a lot of rooms to get out of thanks to a code, a cipher or solving a puzzle. So for me, definitely yes!
Sometimes we wondered how it was possible that even kids who are more than 10 years younger than us could handle this game (and that they actually did handle it with bravado)... but often the problem was on our side. Don't worry, if you get as tired as we did (that's what we call it), there are hints waiting on the walls in Futurent to help you complete the challenge.
The longest inflatable in the Czech Republic and Slovakia?
Yes! That one was awesome, I don't think a photo can perfectly capture how much we enjoyed this inflatable. But we have a video, check it out... for now I'll at least show you our mascot, who was also over the moon with happiness.
Laser maze?
Done! We felt like we were in Mission Impossible... and for some of us it was really impossible to walk past the lasers, or at least stretch our arm. If you touch the laser, you've failed the challenge. But you can go back to it...

What about the balls?
The room full of 96,000 (!) plastic balls is already a blast to enter, because you enter it through the bonnet of a car wreck. Oh, my God. And in that room, as well as balls, balls and balls, there's a balance beam. And on that balance beam, you can challenge the other team to a duel. And definitely do that! The challenge lights up on the screens all over Futurent, the other team comes in, and then the fight is on.
.jpg)
I think this photo again perfectly illustrates our totally non-competitive mood during the game :-)
But no, we all really enjoyed this room! And we may have spent a little more time in it than was strictly necessary, but I think that's understandable. I mean, we could have jumped in balls, swum in balls atp....
I think Bara's expression sums it up perfectly...

What can I say in conclusion?
Everything worked as it should, the story and the game itself absolutely blew us away, I mustn't tell you everything, but believe me, a lot of rooms will surprise you! Futurento didn't lie, it really is the best of all known games in one place. In one giant place.
Or listen to this...
And because we know you already want to be there too, and because it's our birthday we've arranged a special 3 plus 1 FREE event . That means you play 4, but only pay for 3 tickets!
By the way, we're going again next week, see you there?
