It's been a few days since we popped in after work to try a new experience once again. Literally! We met at 17:40 in front of Urban Jump Arena in Liberec. We all arrived on time, except for Rost'a, who was 15 minutes late. But he has a child and he is also the boss, so that clearly excuses him. :-)
We got cool socks with non-slip soles, changed and followed the introductory briefing, which included suspiciously often the phrase "at your own risk". This scared us a bit, but we certainly didn't want to give up...
What does the arena look like?
Don't think it's just a couple of trampolines and nothing else. There's a lot of jumping going on here! The arena is divided into several sections. The main Free-Jump Arena with trampolines suitable for parkour, a foam pit and Big Airbag for jump training, a climbing wall and last but not least two gymnastic trampolines that even the pros will appreciate. There is also the Dodgeball zone, where dodgeball is just getting going. Ninja trail and a monkey bars for the little ones.
Dad, what are we going to do first?
We started in the Dodgeball zone and we... took pictures. :-) Classic.
But we wanted a group photo while we were all whole and in "photo form" so to speak. I think it worked pretty well, what do you think?

A light warm up followed, a few basic jumps, drops and spins and it was off to the "ghost". Yes, I'm referring to the Big Airbag, but in our case that first round of jumps was more like the fall into the duvet. :-D Nevertheless, we did not let our initial embarrassment show and bravely jumped all together.
Will there be a flip with five screws?
After a while, according to the instructor, it was time to climb the climbing wall and continue jumping into the foam pit.
We no longer try to hide our embarrassment. "Holy crap, that's really high!" Well, there's no turning back anyway, and let's face it, this is what we were all looking forward to the most. Except that those initial ideas of trying flips and maybe even five screws suddenly turned out to be very naive. :-) The highlight of our acrobatics was salt from the ground into foam. But next time, next time we'll definitely do it again.
Line, cross, line, bounce!
The instructor took us through other parts of the arena, where we tried some of the basic jumps and spikes. The end of it all was to be a jump from the trampoline onto the wall that ran along the wall to the foam pit. The instructors were jumping straight into a standing position, so I guess it was going to be cool. The instructions were clear: "Line, cross, line and put everything into that last bounce." Okay, here we go. Line, cross, line, line, cross, cross, line, ... :-D Oh, well, it's not gonna be that much fun. Our Adropians didn't jump to standing, but they did get up on the second attempt at the latest. And our Adropa girls... but yes, they all made it in the end!

However, we entertained the whole crew, including the staff, and that counts for something.
What can I say in conclusion...?
...that the important thing is to have a good time. And we definitely did that, the hour flew by and we're already looking forward to the next time. Because we'll be one level further down the line. Or maybe it's a little higher. What about you, would you like to jump like that? Should we add a jump arena to our offerings?
