Via ferrata in Austria: the Drachenwand Sankt Lorenz

Once you arrive at the agreed location at the parking lot in Sankt Lorenz, you and your instructor head towards the via ferrata. Then you will go through an hour-long briefing, during which you will be familiarized with the equipment and the principles of how to move safely while climbing. Once you are ready, you embark on the ascent, which takes about 2 hours (in case of high traffic up to 4 h). After the climb, you return to the parking lot, full of excitement. On the way back, which takes about an hour and a half, you will be able to pass the time sharing your impressions of one of the most beautiful via feratas in Austria.

The price of climbing a via ferrata in Austria includes:

• rental of climbing equipment – climbing harness, rappel brake with carabiners, anchoring carabiner, helmet;

• presence of an instructor throughout the ascent and descent,

• several photos taken by the instructor during the trip.

Price does not include:

• traveling to and from Austria,

• parking fees,

• travel insurance including mountain service intervention (it is mandatory, you cannot participate in the experience without it),

• rental of ferrata gloves – for hygiene reasons you need to have your own (cycling or good quality work gloves will suffice).
